'ARTFULLY YOURS' - Art Hawke's Bay Exhibition

Art Hawke's Bay 17th Annual Exhibition.

This event presents the work from artists and groups across Hawke's Bay in a single exhibition and competition during which all entries are for sale. The competition has prizes in categories such as 'land', 'people' or 'abstract', and there is a 'best in exhibition', the JW Picture Framing 'mystery prize', and a prize for Sculptures and High Schools.

The Exhibition opens on April 28, with the Opening event the following evening on April 29 at 5:30pm - which will include the prizegiving and all Category Winners will be announced.

We have secured 2 new selectors for this year and they are Josh Lancaster and Ben Pearce - both from Hawkes Bay. They are looking forward to being involved with the exhibition and we know they will be judging some great artworks from so many talented artists across our region.

Selector for Art - Josh Lancaster. Josh, named NZ Young Creative of the Year 2005, paints, "Landscapes depicting the geography of the heart - portraits of the special and familiar places we like to call ours".

Selector for Sculpture - Ben Pearce. Ben is a finalist for the 2025 RT Nelson Awards for Sculpture - "The notion of an object consisting of more than the sum of its part is intriguing."

Both selectors will give a floor talk on Saturday 3rd May between 10-12pm.
