Artist Profile
Nick White
Nick White is a graduate from the Otago School of Fine Arts.
He won the 1991 National BP Art Award andwas the recipient of a residency at the Vermont Studio Centre in 1992 awarded by the US Foreign Artist Exchange Programme.
He has a studio and a work-in-progress gallery known as the SideStreet Gallery in Woodville.
The bird images in the exhibition are a response to declining bird populations both here and worldwide, and a steady decline in environmental standards in New Zealand.
