Morag Shaw

Morag Shaw comes from the Shetland Isles to the far north of Scotland, where members of the corvid family are ever present in the culture and the landscape.  From the 'crow stepped gables' or 'corbie steps' on buildings, to the ravens painted on shields in the annual viking festival of Up Helly 'Aa, to the generations of ravens resident on some of the headlands on Shetland.

Morag's work has included printmaking, drawing, stone and wood carving, and ceramic sculpture.  Her works address the many facets of the animal-human relationship inspired by story and mythology.
