Sculptor Profile
Fish Radich
1 Lost In Me, Thermally modified pine, stainless steel
13 We Are All The Same, Mild Steel
Lost In Me is an invitation inward. While the turning design casts moving light and shadow, enigmatic and entrancing, the glow of the central light holds as a stilling anchor; a beacon of the heart-centre amid a dynamic external reality. The calming rhythm of constant motion offers a trust; you can let go here, while viewers are invited to lose themselves in the perfection of duality between dark and light, motion and stillness, constant and change.
Lost In Me omits an energy bigger than itself as it projects across the space it spins in, an effect created to saturate the sculpture’s resting environment in hope of best attracting and enchanting.
We Are All The Same
The eye is a gateway to the soul, reminding us of our shared human experience where we recognise ourselves in another, and another in ourselves. It reveals depth, truth, and vulnerability. We are all in this together, and deep down, we are all the same.
Fish Radich is a Hawke’s Bay artist working to enhance physical spaces and shift perspectives through the lens of his wood and steel based structures. With an intrinsic curiosity for the meaning in human experience, Fish is led by his desire to touch the core of human feelings, and extend that space for other people to do the same.
Each work Fish creates, he pursues the balance of form and function, and a manifestation of wonderment and trust
